Carl arrived today after an uneventful trip—his flight from São Paulo was slightly delayed, but it flew, and it landed safely. Angela and I picked him up at the Recife airport. He'll have to be pretty much of a bystander, an accompanying spouse, for my final week in Recife and during the conference in Tubarão the following week.
